BBQ Alaskan Salmon

2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons brown sugar.
1 to 2 garlic cloves,minced.
1 tablespoon lemon juice.
2 teaspoon soy sauce.
1/2 teaspoon pepper.
4 salom steaks  (1 inch thick)

In a small saucepan,combine the first 6 ingredients.
cook and stir until sugar is dissolved. meanwhile,grill
the salmon,covered,over medium-hot heat for 5 minutes.
turn salmon;baste with the butter sauce.grill 7-9 minutes
longer,turning and basting occasionally,or until the
salmon flakes easily with a fork.

Yield:    4 servings



Fried Potatoes

3 cups diced cooked potatoes.
1/2 cup cooked onions.
2 tablespoons butter or margarine.
salt and pepper to taste.


In a skillet,cook potatoes and onions in butter until
golden brown,about 10 minutes.
season with salt and pepper.

Yield:   3-4 servings



Tender  "N"  Tangy Ribs

1 cup vinegar
1/2 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 garlic clove,minced
1 teaspoon ground mustard
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
2 pounds pork spareribs
1 tablespoon vegetable oil


Combine the first nine ingredients in a slow cooker.
cut ribs into serving-size pieces:brown in a skillet in
oil.transfer to slow cooker.cover and cook on low for 4-6
hours or until tender.

Yield:  2-3 servings



Zesty Tomato Soup

2 cans ( 10-3/4 ounces each ) condensed tomato soup
2-2/3 cups water
2 teaspoon chili powder
Oyster crackers or shredded Monterey Jack cheese


In a saucepan,combine the first three ingredients: heat
through,garnish with crackers or cheese if desired.

Yield:  4-5 servings



Pecan chicken salad

3 cups diced cooked chicken
1 cup diced celery
2 cups salad (mayonnaise based) dressing
2 cups chopped red apples with peel
2 cups pecan halves
1 (10 oz.) jar sweet dill pickles
2 hard-boiled eggs,diced

In a large bowl,combine all ingredients.chill for 2-4
hours.serve in mini-tart shells or with crackers.

Yield:  10 (1/4 cup) servings.


Sausage Gravy

1 pound sausage
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoon flour
2 cups milk
dash of pepper

Brown sausage in large skillet.add salt,pepper and
flour.stir;let brown slightly.add milk.stir constantly
until boiling.serve with pancakes or biscuits.


Strawberry Butter

1 (8 oz.) cream cheese
1/2 cup butter
1 cup confectioners sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup fresh strawberries,pureed

Beat cream cheese and butter until smooth. gradually
add sugar and vanilla.mix well.stir in strawberries.
serve with bagels,muffins or toast.


Pancake Syrup

1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup water
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 tablespoon butter

Mix all together and boil on low heat for 2 minutes.
do not overcook.


Peanut Butter Candy

1 cup white sugar
1 cup Karo syrup
1 (12 oz.) crunchy peanut butter
6 cups corn flakes

Bring sugar and syrup to a boil.set off heat and add peanut butter and then corn flakes.shape with your hands.


Peach Cobbler

2 cups self-rising flour
2 cups sugar
2 sticks oleo
1 quart peaches, drained

Place peaches in bottom of a 9X13 inch pan.
mix together other 3 ingredients and pour over peaches.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until top is
golden brown.
